Parent Consulting
Michelle offers private consulting packages, limited to five families at a time. She understands that privacy is incredibly important to families and will protect your confidentiality.
Michelle’s advice is based on the strategies she created and shared in her bestselling books: Middle School Makeover, Fourteen Talks by Age Fourteen, and 8 Setbacks That Can Make a Child a Success. Decades of work with parents and adolescents uniquely position her to help parents better understand their children, reframe common developmental challenges, and work through them in her practical, stress-reducing approach.
To Note: Michelle’s guidance is not a replacement for therapy, but it can be a beneficial supplement.
How It Starts
You’ll begin with a 30-minute phone or Zoom call to see if you both feel like you’re a good fit for each other and so Michelle can gather a high-level understanding of your situation. The cost for an initial consult is $100. If you would like to continue from there, you may purchase a five-hour coaching package.

The Rest
Those five hours can be used at your discretion for any question, big or small. You do not need to schedule appointments to reach Michelle. She will do her best to respond quickly to you, but always within 24 hours unless she has a travel conflict and is unreachable (you’ll know in advance her availability). Michelle tracks your time in fifteen-minute increments and will notify you when you have one hour left so you can decide if you want to renew your package or if you’ve gotten through the hardest part and feel comfortable working on your own from here on out. This approach means you can access Michelle’s advice by email, phone, or text, in smaller than hour increments without accumulating issues to discuss once a week as you would in therapy. A five-hour coaching package is $1500.
Pick My Brain (Business)
Do you have questions about book publishing, a new teen or parent-related business you’re launching, how to find a literary agent, which proposal resources are best for aspiring writers? Michelle gets asked a lot about these aspects of her work, so to consolidate, she opens her calendar one day a month for free consultations about the business of parenting, writing, and program creation.
How It Starts
You can access Michelle’s calendar here to book a 20-minute consult.
Please Note
Note: This is not an opportunity to ask questions about personal parenting. Please see the section above.
