Many of you read the ruckus over the R rating of the Bully movie (prohibiting many kids who need to see it from doing so) and many of you signed the petition to have the the rating lowered. According to the film’s distributor, the Weinstein Company, “the intense scene in the film that shows teen Alex Libby being bullied and harassed on a bus”— which initially clinched the R rating — remains intact, but three “uses of the ‘F word’ were removed from other scenes.” The film is now being released for limited engagement in 55 markets at a PG-13 rating.
I’m pleased that Charlotte is one of those markets. The film is showing at the Park Terrace and Concord Mills theaters.
At Park Terrace, show times are 2:20, 4:40 and 7:00.
At Concord Mills, show times are 11:55, 2:30, 5:00, 7:30 and 10:00.
I’d like to gather interested parents to attend the 2:20 at Park Terrace on Wednesday the 18th. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll get a block of seats. It will be a nice reason to meet you all IRL (in real life).
See you at the movies!
